Cytos Biotechnology’s anti-obesity vaccine fails.

The anti-obesity vaccine from Cytos Biotechnology I blogged about on October 14, 2006 failed its Phase III clinical trials.  Its CEO, Dr. Wolfgang Renner, remarked, “Based on the available data, a further development of this particular vaccine candidate in obesity is not warranted.”

Turning Stem Cells into a Cancer vaccine

Using a mouse model, researchers John Eaton and Robert Mitchell at the University of Louiseville’s Brown Cancer Center  have demonstrated that vaccinating mice with embryonic stem cells has the potential to prevent cancer in mice.
