Using a virus to fight cancer: a radical approach.
While there are a number of approaches to treating cancer, an exciting, emerging approach by Oncolytics Biotech is especially promising: it uses an otherwise harmless and common virus to selectively kill tumor cells.

scooper asked me if Sangamo were only looking at HIV/AIDS, or if their technology could be applied to other STDs. The answer is it can be applied to other STDs, but they’re not seeking any other indications at this time. Others, however, are, so I thought I’d cover STD treatment and prevention–from a biotech standpoint–here.
